SiHyun has an extensive portfolio that includes prestigious commissions from esteemed institutions such as the US AirForce Academy Band, YAMAHA, Rice University, Columbia Digital Audio Festival, Five by Five Ensemble, and Enhakē Ensemble. Her talent has garnered Composer Fellowships from distinguished organizations like the American Composers Orchestra, Really Spicy Opera, and the Nashville Symphony Composer Lab. She has also received recognition from prestigious entities such as the President’s Own Marine Band and the Art Council of Korea.
What truly sets SiHyun apart is her exceptional ability to seamlessly traverse diverse musical genres. She laid the foundation for her creative pursuits during her undergraduate studies at the prestigious Eastman School of Music. Her dedication to excellence led her to further refine her craft, earning a Master’s degree in composition from The Juilliard School, where she was mentored by Dr. Ludwig. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. at UCLA, studying under the guidance of renowned composer Richard Danielpour. Additionally, SiHyun holds a distinguished diploma from the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Massachusetts, underscoring her early commitment to excellence in the arts.
