Killing Time

Killing Time is a one-act chamber opera for three singers and piano. Set in an ambiguous contemporary space where characters find themselves suspended in an endless waiting period, the opera probes how human beings cope with inactivity, silence, and the passage of time. Through sharp conversational banter, sudden lyric revelations, and propulsive piano commentary, the work questions whether we truly kill time—or whether time inexorably consumes us.
