On July 29, 2022, the AFC Experiment Concert (AFC実験会) at Yamaha Ginza Studio, Tokyo, premiered SiHyun Uhm's String Quartet No. 2 “For AFC System”.
Composed in 2021 as part of Yamaha's joint research with Dr. Sungyoung Kim (Rochester Institute of Technology), the work treats the AFC (Active Field Control) system as an instrument fused with the string quartet. Performers: Nahoko Wakatabi and Saori Nakazawa (violins), Kiyoko Nakamura (viola), Naotaka Oiwa (cello).
