Yearning for string orchestra won the inaugural Call for Scores of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band. The world premiere took place on April 16, 2023, at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center in Alexandria, Virginia, performed by the Marine Chamber Orchestra under Col. Jason K. Fettig, alongside Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 and Sibelius's Symphony No. 2.
