The chain reaction—where one sphere strikes another, causing the final sphere to swing outward and perpetuate the motion—served as the conceptual starting point for this piece. The kinetic energy sparked by the initial collision bounds continuously between the instruments, generating new movements. The sharp, crisp impact of the colliding spheres is depicted through the instruments' forceful attacks and rhythmic gestures. Furthermore, the quintuplets that recur throughout the work are a crucial element in establishing this continuous sense of motion.
